Eyelashes

How long will my eyelash extensions last?

  • About 3-4 weeks. They will fall off as each of your lashes reach its own maturity cycle. The grafted eyelashes are glued to your real eyelashes, so they will fall off with the growth cycle of the eyelashes. It is normal to drop 3 to 4 pieces a day. As an additional service, you can choose to refill your extensions at the 2-3 week mark, making the appearance of extensions last longer.

How long do eyelash extensions take?

  • The application usually takes about 1-1.5 hours. However, for the first visit, clients should expect additional time for the consultation as we work together to design the best look for you.

Will the extensions hurt my eye or skin?

  • No. When performed properly, the process of eyelashes extensions generally won’t hurt. We simply glue the artificial eyelashes to the original eyelashes one by one. The original eyelashes are grafted at 0.5-1.5mm from the root of the original eyelashes. It will not touch the eyelids or the eyes. A very small number of people do not close their eyes well or are sensitive. There is a very slight itching sensation, but not a painful sensation.

Will eyelash extensions hurt my own eyelashes?

  • No, as long as you don’t forcibly pull or rub your eyelashes. False eyelashes are simply grafted to the roots of the real eyelashes. It should not feel excessively heavy or "overweight". This way, the real eyelashes will not be broken due to excessive burden, and a safe distance will be maintained during grafting so as not to stimulate the hair follicles, causing sensitivity or hindering the growth of eyelashes. Professional eyelash artists will be able to distinguish the roots, so it will not affect the growth of the original eyelashes.

What if I don’t have many eyelashes?

  • Of course, we can’t attach extensions if there are no lashes at all! But we definitely can work with fine or short eyelashes. You probably have more lashes than you think and we can usually attach a total of 100 lashes on each eye.

Do more extensions look better?

  • The desired number of extensions is typically based on the client’s style, makeup preferences and other factors to consider. At the first session, all these factors are taken into account and a consultation session is held to determine the best approach. However, the more dramatic the desire to change the shape of the eye, usually the more extensions are needed.

What should I do when I wake up and my extensions are a mess?

  • Simply use an eyelash comb to gently comb the eyelashes in the direction of growth.

How should I be removing my makeup to preserve the integrity of the eyelash extensions?

  • Please avoid all oil-based eye cleansers

  • When applying water-based cleanser, gently wipe it off and refrain from rubbing the eyes back and forth

What activities should I avoid to prolong the life of my extensions?

  • Refrain from getting your newly-applied extensions wet for 24 hours after the service

  • Creams and oils can cause your new extensions to fall off more quickly

  • Avoid sweating excessively until 24 hours after your appointment to allow the glue to fully settle

  • Avoid all oil-based eye cleansers

  • Avoid using mascara on extensions
